Lego Advent calendar Black Friday deals are my absolute favourite thing and this is the best price I've ever seen yet on the Lego Harry Potter Advent Calendar that's new for 2023.

If you're a fan of non-chocolate advent calendars (seriously, chocolate for breakfast every day in December does not make mornings less hectic...) or just prefer the value for money that you get with the best toy advent calendars for kids, you've probably considered buying a Lego Advent calendar. And now we've got good news - especially if the price is all that puts you off. And, if your love of LEGO goes beyond advent calendars, don't miss our Black Friday LEGO deals blog for a variety of offers.

New for 2023, the Lego Harry Potter Advent Calendar is themed around Hogsmeade and includes 18 Lego minibuilds and six brand new minifigures - including the first-ever minifig of Aberforth Dumbledore, brother of Albus and owner of the Hogsmeade Inn! All the minifigures and buildables can be combined with other Lego Harry Potter sets for endless creative play beyond the festive season.

Yesterday we brought you news of some of the most popular LEGO Advent calendars on sale, with juicy discounts of up to 20% off ahead of Black Friday. And yes, dear reader, I went and bought one for my little Potterhead. But now I wish I'd waited because this deal is ever better!

The Lego Harry Potter Advent Calendar normally costs £29.99 but we spotted it for £23.99 at Lego yesterday, saving 20% on what I genuinely think is the best Advent calendar money can buy. it has such wow factor for kids. The box is satisfylingly large and rattly when you shake it - a feature that kids love in an Advent calendar - and the buildable surprise behind every door makes December mornings a haven of playful busy-ness as youngsters set about recreating the wizarding village of Hogsmeade in Lego form, based on the beloved Harry Potter books and films.

As a shopping editor, parenting journalist, and mum of three, I rate LEGO Advent calendars as the best options money can buy, especially if you're after value for money. No other Advent calendar comes with surprise items that are still in our toy box or displayed on bedroom shelves so many years later. And it's not really an issue if your child isn't already into Lego. From the Lego Friends Advent Calendar to the Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar, there's one that will appeal to almost all youngsters. Plus they're a great introduction to the joy of playing with Lego!

My kids have always looked forward to seeing which new Lego buildables and minifigures will appear in the Lego Advent calendars each year and I'm not ashamed to admit that I'll be buying the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, which is also 20% off at LEGO right now for my son yet again this year - despite the fact that he's 18 and lives in student halls!

Beyond Lego Advent calendars, there are also dozens of Lego sets on sale for Black Friday from retailers including Very and Amazon - take a look at our guide to the best Black Friday toy deals for more Lego bargains.
