Emily Peck is a lifestyle journalist with over 20 years’ experience writing for magazines, newspapers and websites. Emily writes in-depth reviews and features for Goodto covering the latest must-have products for the home, lifestyle, garden, parent and child. She has previously worked as in-house writer for BBC Good Homes and 25 Beautiful Homes and features editors at Ideal Home, where she wrote about everything from interiors, home, beauty, gardening and food. She has also freelance written for the likes of Ideal Home, Livingetc, GQ magazine, Techradar, Wired and Stylist to name a few. As a mum of two young kids, she has a ready-made team of ‘testing assistants’ on hand keen to help out by trialing the latest products she’s reviewing for work – be it baby monitors, kids smartwatches and tablets, juicers, slow cookers and more. ‘What I love most about my job is that I never know what I’ll be writing about next,’ she says. ‘I recently reviewed duvets and stand mixers, and for that week I was happy to say that work involved staying in bed and eating cake!’ Having recently moved from Surrey to London, she is currently in the process of putting her knowledge of homes and gardens into practise, decorating her new home to stamp her mark on it. She’s inherited a flower-filled garden and when she’s not writing, she can be found pottering around in the garden.
