Where is Love Island Aftersun filmed? Winter Love Island 2023
It's the spin-off show that airs every Sunday after the main event, but where is Love Island Aftersun filmed?
Love Island: Aftersun airs every Sunday at 10pm on ITV2, straight after Love Island finishes. And many viewers are asking where is Love Island Aftersun filmed?
Winter Love Island 2023 is finally here, bringing all the drama, dumpings and recouplings with it. As we settle down on the sofa at 9pm each night and watch the Love Island cast lounge around in a luxury villa in a climate much warmer than the one we're experiencing in the UK, many of us have wondered where is Winter Love Island filmed?
But let's not forget about the weekly spin-off show, Love Island: Aftersun. Filling us in with even more gossip, behind-the-scenes antics and details of who has left Love Island recently, host Maya Jama welcomes celebrity guests to dissect the latest drama from the villa. And while we know the Islanders are residing in sunny South Africa, many are curious as to where Love Island: Aftersun is filmed? Here’s everything you need to know.
Where is Love Island Aftersun filmed?
While the main show is set in South Africa, Love Island: Aftersun is actually filmed at BT Studios in Stratford, East London. This means that host Maya has a hefty commute, splitting her time between Cape Town for the live Love Island shows and London for Aftersun on a weekly basis.
Maya Jama hosts Love Island: Aftersun alongside regular guests Sam Thompson - best known for Channel 4's Made in Chelsea - and Indiyah Polak, who was a contestant on the 2022 series of Love Island. Indiyah and Sam also host the show's popular podcast, Love Island: The Morning After.

Where is the Winter Love Island villa 2023?
Winter Love Island 2023 has retuned to Cape Town, South Africa, and is filmed at the Ludus Magnus estate in Franschhoek.
The estate is surrounded by vineyards and famed for French heritage and cuisine, and it's sustainable too, with 266 solar panels generating the luxury accommodation's electricity.
This is a different location to the previous series of Winter Love Island that aired in 2020, which was filmed at the Midden Cottage, located in the Constantia suburb of Cape Town.
Mike Spencer, Executive Producer at Lifted Entertainment, shared his excitement around the new location: "After eight brilliant series, we are excited to be serving up two helpings of love in 2023 by kicking off in January at a stunning new villa in South Africa. We can look forward to more romances, bromances and everything in between as we embark on another epic year of love."
