Aldi has launched a whole new plant-based range including vegan burgers and vegan sausage rolls.

Back in January Greggs kicked off the vegan sausage roll trend with the release of the pastry treat, closely followed by Tesco who launched their own cheaper version last month.

But now, budget supermarket Aldi has added even more plant-based items to its’ aisles, and shoppers are delighted that the range includes a crispy puff pastry sausage roll.

You’ll be pleased to know Aldi have launched four new vegan foods in stores nationwide.

Among the new meat-free tasty snacks are vegan burgers, as well as beloved vegan sausage rolls.

The supermarket is selling four Mae’s Kitchen ‘No Sausage’ rolls – which are described as wrapped in flaky, golden puff pastry.

The pastry treats are filled with a soya recipe rather than meat.

You can get your hands on a pack of four sausage rolls for just £1.19 – which works out just under 30p each – making them 70p cheaper than bakery chain Greggs.

The supermarket is also selling a range of plant-based burgers.

The ‘No Beef’ burger patties are made from soya, wheat, pea protein, onions and mushrooms.

And, customers can also get their hands on the ‘No Chicken’ burgers made from a vegetable protein patty, which is lightly dusted in a golden crumb protein.

Fans of the new plant-based treats have taken to social media to show their excitement.

One said: ‘Aldi are now selling frozen vegan burgers and sausage rolls...when vegan food is readily available, cheap, better for the animals, better for the planet, why would you choose anything else 💚💚🌱🌱🌱.’

Another said: ‘Aldi vegan sausage rolls are on point 👌👌.’

Another added: ‘@Aldi_Ireland just tried your vegan sausage rolls! delicious and so cheap!! Thanks for thinking of us vegans! :D.’

Though, you better be quick, because if the vegan sausage rolls are anything like the Greggs or Tesco versions, they’ll be flying off the shelves in no time.
