  • The Great British Bake Off is coming back! Ahead of the show’s return Channel 4 have released a trailer for the series and Bake Off fans are loving it!

The video shows different cakes and baked goods singing along to Christina Aguilera’s hit song Beautiful and many fans have voiced their appreciation on social media.

One person tweeted: ‘Super excited and impatient for Bake off to be back. Can’t it be now?!?’

Another said: ‘Oh my goodness. This has made my night!’

A third added: ‘A bunch of cakes sing Beautiful//Christina Aguilera in the GBBO ad and I just started crying at it, lmao I am a mess xo’.

The series will once again be presented by Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding and judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will be back in the tent to test the baking hopefuls talents.

It has been reported that for the first time ever, the hit baking show may include a vegan-themed week.

According to a source from Channel 4 the idea came from Noel as a way to entice more millennials to the show. It’s thought younger viewers might have fallen out of touch with the programme since embracing a diet free from animal products.

Filming has been taking place for the past few months and with the UK experiencing one of its hottest summers in history, it’s likely the contestants have been struggling with their bakes.

A source told The Sun that Noel, Sandi, Prue and Paul were all working hard to keep the contestants calm as the heat was causing havoc with their signature bakes, technical challenges and showstoppers.

The source said: ‘There were some very anxious moments in the famous white tent, particularly as things approached the showstoppers. Anything remotely capable of melting was struggling as the temperatures continued to rise.’

They added: ‘There were a few close calls but producers did a fine job at trying to keep everybody away from a literal meltdown.’
